Punk Creative photographed their favourite murals and provided us with the assets. Double Take Projections treated the quirky murals to an animation style that went hand in hand with the scripts’ comedic value. To do this, we used a variety of easy-ease techniques to convey the wacky and bizarre styling of the project.

We made a list of possible projection locations spaced throughout Glasgow and communicated – where necessary – with location staff to secure projection permissions.

Over the space of two nights, we drove to over 12 sites around Glasgow to project and film the mural animations. With the main deliverable being the promotional film, we were delighted at how much the projection content engaged with the general public. Smiles and laughs were shared with the footfall passers-by, showing that a good projection campaign can achieve a variety of outcomes. Via social media and the press, this tongue in cheek style activation was a bid to drive ticket sales.
