Dores on the banks of Loch Ness played host to the inaugural Groove Loch Ness dance festival in 2015. The event was situated in the site previously occupied by Rockness; hosted by Groove Armada, 2 Many DJs, Eli & Fur and B Traits. It has to be one of the most photogenic festival settings anywhere in the world – Scotland’s nightclub under the stars. We really wanted to design an experience that left the audience awestruck. 4,500 revellers attended the event with many more seeing footage of the event. The result was an amazing 3D projection which mutated the shape of the stage! The Projection Mapping Stage has trended well online and given the festival a unique visual identity.
