Working closely with UCL and a team of collaborators, we designed and produced a fully immersive son et lumière show that combined cutting-edge 3D projection mapping with an original score, narration and rich animation. The content took audiences on a journey from 1826 – when UCL was founded as a pioneering, inclusive institution – through to its present-day position as a global leader in research and education. The architectural detail of the Wilkins Building played a central role in the creative, with projections carefully mapped to enhance and interact with its neoclassical façade.

To ensure the longevity of UCL Illuminated, we delivered a comprehensive photography and film capture strategy designed to extend the life of the project beyond the live event. Working across multiple nights, we documented the show using a combination of locked-off cameras, roaming operators and aerial perspectives to capture both the precision of the projection mapping and the atmosphere of the audience experience. The resulting suite of high-quality stills and edited film content has been used across digital platforms, press and social media, as well as to create a full-length version of the show available to stream – ensuring the experience continues to reach audiences well beyond its original three-night run.
