Scott’s ‘On the Massacre of Glencoe’ poem commemorates one of the darkest incidents in Scottish history – the Massacre of Glencoe which saw more than 70 Highlanders killed for alleged treason.
We used 2 x 16,000 Lumen projectors and a Media Server to map the content live onto the different surfaces of the Forth Bridge. For Ashton Lane and Merchant City we double stacked the projectors to maximise the clarity of the image.
We created a visual spectacle that fascinated potential voters in an unexpected way. There were two aspects linked to the strategy - a guerrilla marketing campaign for press shots and an architectural projection for public engagement.
The Forth Bridge image was the most shared SNP Facebook and Twitter post of the entire campaign generating 15,000+ likes, shares and interactions in the hours leading up to the election. The video also received 57,000 views prior to the election.
Thanks for your help during the campaign the projection looked and sounded absolutely brilliant. What we’ve achieved is historic. Ross Colquhoun, SNP
